The First Vice-President of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) and Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee, Julian Pierre, has responded following news that a janitor fell through the flooring of a prefabricated classroom at Mount Tabour Primary.
He was briefed on developments by the school’s shop steward and explained that the new building was built to accommodate the merger between St John Primary and Mount Tabour Primary.
He updated CBC News after visiting the school.
