The Barbados Police Service is investigating a shooting reported to have occurred at the National Botanical Gardens in St. Michael.
Police say that today, Wednesday, April 12 2023, around “12:50 p.m. a 30-year-old man reported that he was shot in his stomach by another man whilst at the Botanical Gardens, St. Michael, in an area located near the Combermere School.
“That man (the victim) was taken to the Hospital where he is undergoing surgery. He was said to be critical but stable at the time of departure from the scene.
“The alleged perpetrator reportedly walked away from the scene in the company of a female and three children.”
Investigations are continuing into the matter.
