A senior South Korean official has proposed a minister-level forum between Seoul and CARICOM later this year.
Bang Moon-Kyu, the Minister for Government Policy Coordination, is attending the 44th Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government in Nassau, the Bahamas as a special envoy of President Yoon Suk Yeol.
Mr. Bang has proposed the minister-level forum be held in the second half of this year in Seoul, and also wants a regular communication body with CARICOM.
Caribbean leaders were told South Korea is willing to strengthen cooperation in the fields of digital government, climate change, energy and food security.
