School resumed today at the Grantley Adams Memorial School in Blackmans, St. Joseph, after an explosion caused its early closure yesterday.
Acting Principal, Major Andrew Skeete, confirmed to CBC News the incident started as a prank by two male students ages 15 and 13.
Major Skeete said this morning, the school brought in counsellors as well as held a briefing to keep staff updated.
He said the matter has been reported to police, but the school intends to work with the parents of the two boys to ensure they are rehabilitated in the most effective way.
