UPDATE: Police have identified the elderly man who drowned at Brandons Beach this morning.
He is 80-year-old Keith Evelyn Beckles, of #3 Bluebell Drive, Husbands, St. James.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old woman lost her life at a St. Peter beach this morning.

An elderly man lost his life at Brandons Beach this morning.
Communications and Public Affairs Officer of the Barbados Police Service, Inspector Rodney Inniss, confirmed that there was a “reported drowning at Brandon’s Beach about 9:15 a.m. today,” Monday, September 18, 2023.
The victim is said to be an 83-year-old male.
Police are awaiting Coast Guard officials to recover his body and details will follow as they become available.
