UWI student receives donation from Freemasons

A UWI student is now able to attend classes free of some financial burden.

Andre Greenidge received a generous donation from the English District of the Freemasons in Barbados.

The gesture is a means of the Valley Council Lodge #229 fulfilling one of the tenets of Freemasonry Charity.

Greenidge is pursuing a degree in international relations and this is the second year The Lodge has contributed to a UWI student.

District Grand Prefect of the Allied District of the South and East Caribbean, Richard Mayers says charity and assistance go beyond education.

Andre Greenidge is thankful for the assistance and outlines his plans.
