Several young Barbadians have been receiving advice about careers in the tourism industry.
Chairman of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association Renee Coppin, told a group of participants at the second Tourism Job Start Workshop the industry can be very labour intensive.
Drawing from her own experiences, she urged them to have a passion for the industry and make good use of the opportunity.
Programme Manager in the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and the Third Sector Erika Watson, says the aim of the exercise is to educate the participants about the world of work.
