Defending champions Barbados defeated Trinidad and Tobago Divas in the second round of the CG United Women’s Super50 Cup in St. Kitts.
Playing at the St. Paul’s complex in Basseterre, the Bajan women decided to take the first knock and posted 185 in 48.4 overs.
Kycia Knight led with 90 including 7-fours and 1-six.
Karishma Ramarack took four for 20 and Samara Ramnath three for 38.
In reply, the TnT Divas fell short on 180 for 8 from their 50 overs for Barbados Women to win by five runs.
Aaliyah Alleyne and Keila Elliott each took 2 for 33.
Barbados’ record is now 1-1 as they rebounded from opening round defeat.
Meanwhile, over at Conaree Sports Club, Jamaica women were nine-wicket winners over the Leeward Islands Women to have a perfect 2-0 record.
Deciding to bat first, the Leewards were bowled out for 98, led with 37 from Reniece Boyce.
Jamaica’s Captain Stafanie Taylor took three for 16 and Vanessa Watts had three for 15.
In reply, Jamaica women easily reached the target with 99 for one.
Chedean Nation was unbeaten on 61.
