BWU Super Blend Gladiola, IGS Insurance Brokers Yorkshire, Carlton and Wildey are all into the semi-finals of the 2023 BCA Super Cup Championship.
Playing at home at Rices in the quarterfinals, Gladiola were first to book their spot in the final four, after crushing Fusionz Boutique Spartans by seven wickets.
Ashley Nurse took four for 17 as Spartans were bowled out for 81 off 33 overs.
In reply, Gladiola eased home on 84 for three inside 13 overs, led by 39 from Martin Nurse.
Meantime, Yorkshire crushed UWI ‘A’ by 182 runs at the 3W’s Oval.
Sent into bat, Yorkshire posted 275 for nine off their 50 overs, led by 53 from Shem Watson.
Then Rashawn Williams snatched six for 23 as UWI ‘A’ crumbled to 94 all out off 29.5 overs.
Over at Dayrells Road, Carlton put up the biggest fight of the day by defeating home team Wanderers by three wickets, thanks to 91 from Keon Harding and 53 from Marlon Welcome-Goodman.
Chasing 241 for victory, Carlton was struggling on 44 for four but fought hard to get home on 242 for seven off 47.5 overs.
Earlier, Wanderers were sent into bat and posted 240 all out off 49.5, Led by 45 from Jared Lovell.
At SJPIT, UWI ‘B’ also suffered defeat, losing to home side Wildey by 141 runs.
Deciding to bat first, Wildey was dismissed for 252 off 44.1 Overs, with 69 from captain Kraigg St. Hill.
In reply, UWI ‘B’ were bowled out for 111 in 30.2 Overs with Deswin Currency taking three for 29.
