Several thousand Barbadians can now find it easier to install photovoltaic systems on their homes.
The Energy Ministry has removed the fees people previously had to pay when applying for permission to do so.
In fact, authorities say they’ve made the process easier with the launch of the householders’ Right to Renewable Energy Policy and online portal – https://apps.energy.gov.bb/re4me/ .
According to Chief Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Officer William Hinds, the revamped process gives permission to install up to a 10 kilowatt PV system.
He says all it takes now is going online and completing the application form.
