Minister of Energy and Leader of Government Business in the Senate, Senator Lisa Cummins has defended changes to the Utilities Regulation Bill that was brought before the Upper House.
As she led off Debate, she made it clear there’s nothing new or extraordinary about the amendments.
Senator Cummins declared the renewable energy sector is not in a state of emergency.
She revealed as of December 12, Barbados had 91 megawatts of solar PV already on the grid.
