Former national women’s basketballer, Shakira Shorey, has lost her battle with cancer.
39-year-old Shorey, who was also the 2nd Vice President of the Barbados Amateur Basketball Association, a former junior national netballer and a former senior national netball team manager, passed away early this morning.
As a mark of respect, games in the B.A.B.A. Cooperators General Premier League for tonight and Thursday night, have been postponed.
