20,000 dollar win

Mark ‘Venom’ Griffith and Sheldene Walrond are the champions of the 2023 Barbados Road Tennis Open.

In the men’s final, Griffith defeated Shakeem Nurse in three straight sets: 21-18; 21-18; 21-19.

In the women’s final, Walrond swept Maudlyn Blunt two-straight: 21-18; 21-11.

Meanwhile, in the men’s third-place playoff, Antonio ‘L’il Man’ Daniel defeated Davien ‘Force Ripe’ Taylor in four sets: 21-18; 19-21; 21-10; 21-8.

Then in the women’s 3rd place, Kim Holder blanked Marvalene Neblett in two-straight at 17 & 8.

The winners received $20,000 dollars each, 2nd place $15,000, 3rd place,$10-000 and 4th place, $5,000.
